Helping fund research for kids with brain cancer.
Dress up like a pirate, bring your treasure, raise money for kids’ brain cancer research.
Pirate Day is a fun way to raise awareness and much needed funds for childhood brain cancer research. Our official Pirate Day for 2020 is the 22nd May – but you can register for any day that works for you!
All you need to do is:
1. Pick any day
2. Register your school or organisation here
3. Dress up as a pirate and bring your treasure!
Pirate Day was established by a Perth family, the Colgan Family, to support childhood brain cancer research following the diagnosis of their son Conor – who’s story can be found here.
Funds raised through Pirate Day in May is allocated to research into finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood brain cancer through The Pirate Ship Foundation in Western Australia and The Kids’ Cancer Project in all other Australian states and territories.
Since 2015, more than $280,000 has been raised with thanks to school groups, early learning centres and the businesses who participate.
