Strictly no BYO alcohol. This is a fully licensed event.
Government House is a non-smoking venue.
No glass or cans, tables, umbrellas, metal cutlery, wine spikes, tents or sun shelters.
Minors
This is a licensed event. Photo ID required for entry. All patrons (including minors/babies) must have a valid ticket for entry.
Children under 18 years of age who have purchased a ticket will only be permitted into the grounds if they are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. If a minor is not accompanied by their parent or legal guardian they will be refused entry and they will not receive a refund on their ticket.
Food
Available for purchase at the venue or you may bring you own picnic hamper.
Please be aware of prohibited items listed under ‘Not Permitted’.
Conditions of Entry
All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry.
Prohibited items will be confiscated and can be collected at the conclusion of the event.

Public Transportation
The Ultimate Backyard Cricket Match actively supports Travelsmart methods of travelling. Located within the Perth CBD, Government House is readily accessible by public transport. There are a number of public transport options depending on your starting point and individual needs. Visit the Transperth website or call 13 62 13 for more information.
Parking
Parking is available at Terrace Rd, Council House and the Concert Hall. Refer to the City of Perth for more information www.cityofperthparking.com.au
Accessible Seating
For GA tickets it is recommended to enter via the St Georges Tce entrance. For VIP tickets, the entrance along Terrace Road is recommended. There are no specific sections for wheelchair bookings.
General Rules
Please note that for all licensed events you may be asked to show photo ID for proof of age. The only accepted forms of photo ID are as follows: WA Proof of Age Card CURRENT Australian Drivers License CURRENT Passport
Food will be available at the venue or BYO picnic.
The match plays rain, hail or shine, so bring some wet weather protection (ponchos/raincoats) if it looks like raining.

Booking Terms and Conditions
During the State of Emergency, please refer to the additional COVID-19 section below.
- Refunds are generally not available except in exceptional circumstances which are outlined in Live Performance Australia’s Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Events in Australia. Transaction charges will not be refunded except at the discretion of The Pirate Ship Foundation.
- Management reserves the right to refuse admission and in such an event, the patron will oblige by any and all refund or cancellation policies as applicable.
- Patrons may be asked for proof of concession status. Absence of proof will prevent admittance.
- Management reserves the right to restrict the use of cameras and recording equipment.
- The Pirate Ship Foundation reserve the right to modify the schedule, content, location, pricing, capacity and format of their event.
- Unless with permission from The Pirate Ship Foundation, purchased tickets may not be re-sold above their face value. Such tickets may be cancelled without refund.
COVID-19
This policy is based on guidelines from Live Performance Australia.
It is a condition of entry that ticket purchasers provide contact information for incident tracing.
Exchanges, Donations and Refunds
Ticket holders in the below categories are to notify The Pirate Ship Foundation by email as soon as possible:
- Feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms

Required to self-isolate or quarantine (and the event falls within this period) due to:
a. being a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
b. having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
c. living in or having been in a high risk area within Australia; or
d. having returned from overseas. - Has COVID-19 symptoms, has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting test results (and the event falls within the period of awaiting test results). Requests can include an exchange (including to a live stream option, if available), donation or refund.

- Requests for a remedy must be provided in writing prior to the event.

Ticket holders must provide supporting medical documentation for a refund. Medical documentation is not required for an exchange or donation to the presenting company. The Pirate Ship Foundation does not need to provide a remedy if a ticket holder:
1. Is well and does not wish to attend an event due to fears of exposure to COVID-19; or
2. Is unwell and does not attend an event (other than due to COVID-19 illness or symptoms); or
3. Is from a group at a higher risk of COVID-19; or
4. Is denied entry into the event for reasons which were disclosed to the ticket holder in the ticket terms and conditions at the time of sale. For example, these reasons may include (but not be limited to) unwillingness to provide personal contact information when requested.
5. The ticket holder attends the match and subsequently leaves part way through due to feeling unwell.
The Pirate Ship Foundation does not need to provide a remedy if a ticket holder:
- Is well and does not wish to attend an event due to fears of exposure to COVID-19; or
- Is unwell and does not attend an event (other than due to COVID-19 illness or symptoms); or

Government-directed closures
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to government directives, The Pirate Ship Foundation will follow the standard terms and conditions that were applicable at the time of ticket purchase.
Ticket holders are able to donate the price paid for the ticket to The Pirate Ship Foundation.

COVID-19 Update
In line with WA Government guidelines, upon arrival at a Government House, patrons must check in by either downloading the free SafeWA app and scanning the QR code at the front entrance, or providing details on a physical form. Proof of vaccination will be required.
