Brain Ride 2021
September 4th & 5th + 11th & 12th
Brain Ride 2021 is a gruelling 1000km bike ride around Perth to support kids brain cancer research.
The event will take place over two weekends in September, consisting of four stages of 150km each, starting and finishing each day at The Ritz Carlton. The dedicated are challenged to ride an additional 80km each weekday between the weekends to reach the 1000km goal.
Where the proceeds go:
Proceeds from the Brain Ride 2021 will go towards funding vital research to increase the chance of survival for childhood brain cancers are terminal.
To give children as much time as possible, the Telethon Kids Institute is treating children with some very specific (and very new/experimental) drugs which target particular genetic changes within the cancer. This cutting edge approach requires them to study the genetic composition of each child’s cancer and match this with specific treatments to give patients more options.
The funds raised will be used by the Brain Tumour Research Program at the Telethon Kids Institute to continue this research and extend this to more children in WA.

How to Participate:
Participants can choose their level of involvement based on availability and fitness levels, with distances ranging from a one day challenge of 150km, though to the ultimate challenge of joining the 1000Club .
