Players and umpires will wear microphones to keep you entertained with their on-field banter as MC Tim Gossage keeps proceedings moving, ensuring you don’t miss a second of the action.
Teams will be made up of a mixture of local celebrities, Channel 9 superstars, past Australian cricket players and other sporting players (past and present) from different codes.
THE KIDS ZONE
Proudly supported by the Elizabeth Quay Carousel.
The Kids Zone will ensure a fun filled day out for kids of all ages. Kids can cool down on the slippery slide, don their team colours at the face painting station, bounce away on the inflatables, test their skills as Perth’s next newsreader at the Channel 9 news desk and bowl to some of WA’s finest at the WACA bowling zone. Be sure to pack bathers and a towel!
Entry will be a $5 donation to this area.
Childhood brain cancer kills more Australian children than any other disease. On average, two children are diagnosed with brain cancer every month in WA.
In even the most fortunate cases, treatments are so damaging to a developing brain that they leave shocking, irreversible, lifelong side effects.
The Pirate Ship Foundation work to support research that will deliver better outcomes and make a significant difference to those children and families affected. The Foundation is proud that in 2019 – 90% of funds raised were made available to the cause – and we aim for a similar result in 2020 and 2021.
The Pirate Ship Foundation is able to make a significant contribution to funding vital research into childhood brain cancer through events like this and by supporting like-minded businesses and individuals.
We invite you to partner with us on this inaugural event to support a most worthy cause.
